Doctrines of Grace. Doctrines of Grace. Sort By: A Book You'll Actually Read on the Grace of God (Holcomb) $ $ Add to Cart. Krummacher, Friedrich W. Classical, & Confessional Doctrine of Divine Impassibility (Baines, et al.) $ $ Add to Cart. Ortlund, Dane. Defiant Grace: The Surprising Message and Mission of Jesus. Doctrine isn’t just for theologians—it’s important for every Christian because it shows us who God is and how we should live. Systematizing the robust theology that has undergirded Dr. John MacArthur’s well-known preaching ministry for decades, this overview of basic Christian doctrine covers topics such as God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, salvation, and .

False-grace doctrine is eternally deadly. There are many people following Jesus today in an unsaved condition. John (ESV) 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (Rom ). Taken together, the concepts of Grace and Justification by Faith show the uniqueness of the Christian doctrine of Salvation. It is like the exclamation of Jonah--”Salvation is of the LORD!” (Jonah , KJV). The message of Grace is God Saves Sinners.

The Scripture everywhere harmonizes with this overwhelming body of truth. Without due consideration of the precise bearing of this revelation on the doctrine of grace, zealous workers have proposed to add certain conditions to the plan of salvation other than believing. (1) It is not, "believe and pray." In view of His grace, it is in no wise. In The Doctrines of Grace, John MacArthur takes you to God’s Word and walks you through challenging truth that’s often neglected, maligned, or mischaracterized, but is critical for every Christian to understand. This series will help you come to grips with what you believe about God, the gospel, and the nature of man.

Great book. This doctrine is missing from many Christian denominations. Tried to send it to a church where it would be included in their library and the book went missing, not once, but twice.

Bought this one and had it sent to my house and delivered it personally to the church librarian. Praying it will be read by ears that hear now/5(60). As opposed to both, the Gospel of Christianity was so astounding just because it taught a doctrine of justification by grace alone.

This was unpalatable to both sides. Judaism refused to accept it because of its revolutionary character and its attitude to the law. Hellenism simply failed to see the New Testament by: The Doctrine of Grace The Doctrines of Grace are important Biblical knowledge for both Rightly-Dividing the Word of Truth and for understanding your personal assurance of Salvation in Christ.

The Doctrine of Grace in the Book of Hosea By Malcolm H. Watts. We know little about the prophet Hosea, who was evidently a young man when the Word came to him. He appears to have ministered as a prophet for some thirty years (probably BC) during one of the darkest periods of Israel’s history.

Pastor Shane Lems said of this work, In John Bunyan wrote a book called The Doctrine of the Law and Grace Unfolded. In this book Bunyan well explains the difference(s) between the covenant of works and the covenant of grace, between the law and the gospel. Perhaps more than any other book in the Bible, the book of Ephesians emphasises the connection between sound doctrine and right practice in the Christian Author: Joseph Oyegoke. The central truth of God’s saving grace is succinctly stated in the assertion, “Salvation is of the Lord.” This strong declaration means that every aspect of man’s salvation is from God and is entirely dependent upon God.

What makes us unique among Christians: We Believe. The Doctrines of Grace in John Debates about Reformed theology and the Five Points of Calvinism almost always include the use of John as a proof text against the Reformed position.

Yet when we consider this famous verse in the context of John’s entire gospel, we see that the love of God that leads to salvation is reserved only for those.

A transient help of God enlightening the mind and strengthening the will to do good and to avoid evil. Just as sanctifying grace is essential for the beginning of faith and for salvation, actual grace is necessary for the performance of salutary acts.

The doctrine of election has two functions: it extinguishes human independence and self-righteousness and shows that God is perfectly free in bestowing favor. 4 Every step forward in the Christian life, 5 from our call 6 to repentance to salvation, 8 is due to grace.
